This FREE course introduces the concepts and hazards of hybrid and electric vehicles. Course topics include feature and hazard identification, methods of extinguishment, extrication adaptations, and post incident tactics. Instructors will provide a comprehensive overview of this evolving technology to ensure students are prepared for the response scene.\nThis course is part of the following Program: Firefighting\nPrerequisites: There are no prerequisites to taking this course\nIf you have specific questions about this course contact ALEXANDER KUHL\nIf you are interested in having this course taught in your area, contact ALEXANDER KUHL or your regional representative.\nStudents will have the opportunity to explore electric vehicles up close at the Illinois Alliance for Clean Transportation’s Green Drives Conference and Expo ( https://www.il-act.org/green-drives-2026/ ).
